Responsibilities

Engages in the daily underwriting and processing of new and renewal business, endorsements, and premium audit transactions
Utilizes established practices, processes, and procedures to renew and write new policies based on underwriting authority
Reviews new and renewal business application documents and gathers additional information as needed to accurately underwrite policies
Understands rating methodology and coverage
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Required

Ability to follow processes and maintain strong attention to detail
Knowledge of industry practices, standards, and underwriting concepts

Demonstrated negotiation and relationship-building skills
Ability to multitask and solve basic problems
Flexibility to handle various assignments
Valid and unrestricted driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Bachelor's degree in insurance or finance; experience in lieu of a degree acceptable

Preferred

AU, INS, or other insurance related certification
