Child Protective Services Education Specialist/Attorney
Stony Brook University is seeking a Child Protective Services Education Specialist/Attorney to conduct mandatory trainings for Child Protective Services case workers. Responsibilities
Conduct training of the legal content of NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) mandated courses
Assist with development and revision of curricula
Ensure that all materials are updated according to legislative changes
Ensure that other attorneys are providing updated material consistently across curricula
Work with sponsor and other vendor around scheduling other attorneys for in person and virtual trainings
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Attorney approved to practice law in NYS
Three (3) years of full-time responsible experience in program development, evaluation, design of training materials or in supporting services
Experience/knowledge with Child Protective Services (CPS), Social Services law and the Family Court Act
Teaching and/or training experience
Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver's License
Have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations
