Responsibilities
Design within the department's compliance with risk management
Use and maintain design standards
Review design Revit, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam drawings from technicians to verify accuracy
Consider green initiatives in the design process
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of experience with NFPA 70E, including but not limited to: Performing branch circuit and service load calculations, Analyzing electrical equipment layouts for required working clearance, Selection and sizing of overcurrent protective devices, conductors, conductors, conduits, etc
Three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical design
The ability to understand and interpret electrical drawings (layouts, one-line, panel schedules, photometrics)
Familiarity with lighting design, controls, fixture selection, and photometric requirements
The ability to Communicate clearly and in a professional manner
Proficient in the use of Bluebeam
Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
Three (3) years of experience in electrical design in the MEP field
Electrical Journeyman's and/or Masters license
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards is preferred (NEC, UL, NEMA)
Wisconsin Designer's License/designer stamp preferred or willingness to obtain in the future
