Responsibilities

Provide leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Perform advanced coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance

Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members

Drive innovation and best practices within the software development team

Required

13+ years of experience in large-scale IT system development, hands-on software development experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing

13+ years of experience in mainframe technology including MVS, CICS, COBOL, JCL, and MQ that support large payment processors

13+ years of experience in the financial industry, especially with mainframe experience with a financial payments platform or similar

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, emotional intelligence, with the ability to listen, advise, empathize, and explain to varied audiences, at all levels

Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience
