Responsibilities
Design & Validate: Collaborate with Project Engineers to develop overhead door systems using Autodesk Inventor for 3D parametric modeling, while performing critical analyses (FEA, wind load) to ensure structural integrity
Bridge to Manufacturing: Master internal systems to edit BOMs and order parts, implementing designs into our ERP system via Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and developing engineering standards
Hands-On Innovation: Work with technicians to build and test prototypes, maintaining the shop area and contributing directly to new product ideas and installation instructions
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or AS + 5 years exp) with strong proficiency in 3D Solid Modeling and MS Office
A collaborative communicator who can independently prioritize tasks and is comfortable using hand/power tools to build what you design
Preferred
3+ years in the field, specifically with ECOs, Autodesk Inventor, or the door/building products industry
A track record designing sheet metal, aluminum extrusions, or injection molded components using modern fabrication methods
