Responsibilities

Technically manage generator outages by recommending repairs and directing craft during disassembly and assembly of the generator during major and minor outages. Support supervision with all technical issued that arise during maintenance outages 24-hrs per day, seven days per week
Provide communications interface with contractors/vendors and informs outage management of budget, schedule and quality issues. Also provides suggestions and proposals to correct issues that negatively impact budget, schedule and work quality. Provide outage reports on project and recommendations on any outstanding issues needing future repair or inspection
Provide planning instruction for the disassembly inspection and assembly of generator equipment. This includes inspection checklist and datasheet developed for outages which are attached to work packages. Examples Working with senior work management specialist providing instructions, datasheets and checklist for work packages during the planning phase of an outage
24 hour 7 days on call to support operations with technical and operational issues pertaining to steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary components; coordinate all emergency repairs, parts orders, vendor support, etc

Required

Associate's degree
In addition to required degree, 6 years related work experience
In Lieu of associate's degree, HS Diploma/GED and 8 years of related work experience

Preferred

Bachelors degree
In addition to desired degree, 9 years related work experience
Experience with Electrical Generators as well as Generator testing
