This position will interact with third-party payers to file billing claims for services rendered and assist clients in ensuring payment for services.

Responsibilities
Support NorthKey Community Care staff and clients regarding billing matters in a polite, courteous, and professional manner
Submit billing data to third-party payers and work claims to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
Perform posting charges and completion of claims to payers in a timely fashion
Assist, cooperate, and communicate with staff regarding fiscal matters in the billing department
Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent is required
At least 2 years of prior medical billing and/or coding experience is strongly preferred
Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Commercial payors
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
Skills in analyzing billing issues to formulate logical and objective conclusions and/or recommendations for solutions
Proficient in the use of computers and business software (in particular Electronic Health Record systems and Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel)
Preferred
Associate's degree or higher is preferred
