Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain crypto wallet systems using Golang, ensuring robust support for protocols such as multi-party computation (MPC) and multi-signature (multi-sig) configurations
Architect modular, scalable backend systems with an unwavering commitment to security and performance
Work closely with Partners to optimize configurations and setups for Ava Labs products
Provide technical guidance across Business Development, Product, Security, Finance, and Engineering teams
Assess opportunities and recommend solutions tailored to client needs
Establish architectures and systems that ensure mass adoption of Ava Labs products while maintaining top-tier security
Demonstrate an independent, driven mindset that thrives on taking initiative without being micromanaged
Take full responsibility for delivering high-quality, secure backend solutions while continuously embracing challenges, learning, and pushing boundaries to drive product excellence
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems
Proven track record in building crypto wallets or blockchain-related products
Deep understanding of both UTXO and Account models, state management, and consensus mechanisms
Extensive experience in secure coding practices with a very strong understanding of security principles as they apply to blockchain and crypto wallet systems
Familiarity with competitive technologies and cloud service setups
A self-driven, independent mindset with extreme ownership over your work and outcomes
Thrive in an environment where you are empowered to take initiative and work autonomously without being micromanaged
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges
A user-centric approach to designing and launching high-quality products that fuel the growth of the crypto economy
Proven ability to empathize with customer challenges and translate those insights into actionable development priorities
Preferred
3+ years of solutions architecture experience
Experience with Golang and JavaScript is a plus
Experience with multi-party computation (MPC) protocols
Hands-on experience with advanced security testing tools and methodologies
Expertise in infrastructure engineering, including Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Prior senior-level engineering experience in a blockchain or crypto organization
