This role involves managing fiduciary accounts, preparing checks, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with estate and trust administration.

Responsibilities

Manage estate and trust fiduciary accounts and checkbooks

Prepare checks for expenses, distributions, and disbursements

Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records

Coordinate with attorneys to ensure timely payment of invoices

Assist with internal accounting systems and process improvements

Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and professionals

Maintain organized and up-to-date client files

Gather and analyze probate and non-probate asset information

Prepare asset inventories and assist with estate accountings

Track trust income, expenses, distributions, and beneficiaries

Organize documentation for estate and inheritance tax filings (IRS Form 706, NY ET-706, NJ IT-R, etc.)

Assist with estate tax projections and administration cost estimates in coordination with attorneys

Draft routine correspondence and assist with court filings

Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and iManage
