Responsibilities
Act as a friendly, helpful resource to clients and community partners
Answer questions regarding living with HIV and disclosure of status
Facilitate entrance into medical care
Accompany clients to their first few appointments
Make referrals to complementary services
Offer HIV testing to partners and friends
Link individuals to care and provide compassionate and non judgemental customer service
Build and foster relationships with agencies that offer support services
Assist clients through their HIV diagnosis and empower them to be proactive in taking care of themselves
Qualification
Required
Ability to act as a friendly, helpful resource to clients and community partners
Experience in answering questions regarding living with HIV and disclosure of status
Ability to facilitate entrance into medical care
Experience accompanying clients to their first few appointments
Ability to make referrals to complementary services
Experience offering HIV testing to partners and friends
Ability to provide compassionate and non-judgmental customer service
Experience in building and fostering relationships with agencies that offer support services
Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
