Infectious Diseases and Prevention Program Manager

Justice Resource Institute is seeking an Infectious Diseases and Prevention Program Manager to oversee and coordinate services for their Infectious Diseases and Prevention Teams. Responsibilities

Provide leadership, guidance and administrative direction and management to JRI Health Infectious Diseases and Prevention teams, including but not limited to establishing goals, objectives, program and activities for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STI, and TB services
Prepare work plans to address HIV, STI, Viral Hepatitis and TB Screening and Prevention Services, that support yearly outcomes and submit monthly reports as directed by the Office of HIV/AIDS
Deliver high quality, harm reduction focused prevention and screening services to populations at risk for HIV, STIs and Hepatitis C including health assessment, testing, overdose prevention, Naloxone distribution, individual and group level interventions, and linkage to care aimed at reducing disease transmission and increasing access to care and treatment
Participate in the design, development, implementation and oversight of prevention services along with the Nurse Practitioner and Program Director
Identify opportunities for effective interventions amongst the Infectious Diseases and Prevention team, to support clients in the MetroWest area
Ensure project timelines and deliverables are completed on schedule
Develop a tracking system to ensure clients receive lab results in a prompt and timely manner
Ensure the entry of all Infectious Diseases and Prevention data, and other data as required to Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) in a timely manner
Prepare monthly data reports to JRI Health Quality Assurance team and DPH Office of HIV/AIDS
Participate in DPH meetings, webinars, and conference calls
Provide clients with easily accessible and low threshold services that operate within a harm reduction framework. This includes assisting clients with accessing support services including primary care, substance use and mental health treatment, homelessness shelters, housing and legal advocacy
Oversee offsite testing services with the use of the mobile health van
Ensure Infectious Diseases and Prevention staff are strictly HIPAA compliant in relation to the security and protection of client information from public knowledge or access
Recruit, train, and coordinate orientation of JRI Health program staff including volunteers
Perform staff performance evaluations as indicated in JRI's Employee Handbook
Coordinate team meetings and help ensure efficient team meetings/agendas with other program coordinators/managers
Ensure effective implementation of current and new policies and procedures set forth by JRI Health and its funders
Ensure proper recording of progress notes, lab results, and linkage to care and treatment through chart reviews in a timely manner
Maintain all charts in acceptable and orderly fashion and ensure staff adheres to same standards
Maintain, develop and implement new team policies and procedures as required to support staff safety, clients, and overall programming
Help ensure efficient allocation of team resources, expertise, and tasks to maximize program outcomes
Form and foster relationships with collaborating agencies, the community, health departments, police departments, and other stakeholders aligned to agency mission
Represent team at internal and external partners for recruitment of new clients
Assist with ongoing planning of the team's direction and outcomes
Train and educate key staff on data collection tools, techniques, and equipment
Train and educate key staff on STI counseling, testing, specimen collection and submission by collaborating with the Nurse Practitioner
Communicate, implement, and strongly enforce proper data collection and documentation policies and procedures to the team
Provide and ensure that positive clients are properly connected to treatment, care, and supported services
Perform other related work duties as needed or as requested by supervisor or designee

Required

Must be 21 years or older
Must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health/Health Education
Minimum of three years' experience of HIV, STI and Viral Hepatitis infection and prevention services and administrative support
Strong analytic and reporting skills required
At least one-year experience in Health Data Analysis, Statistics, Public Health, Microsoft Office, including Excel, and Data Entry
Must demonstrate team leadership and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and supervisory experience required
Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with large teams on projects and respond to a dynamic workflow
Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects at once
Background and driving record checks will be performed

Preferred

Experience working directly with LGBTQIA+, People who use drugs, and high-risk populations preferred
Bilingual candidates (Spanish / Portuguese) strongly encouraged to apply!
