The Quality Assurance Supervisor will assist the QA Manager in leading food quality and safety initiatives, providing leadership to QA Lab Analysts, and participating in various quality-related projects during weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Assists in the hiring, training, and development of QA analysts

Receives, troubleshoots and monitors all New Formula Releases

Review and implement processing procedure

Create processing procedure for selected kitchens

Monitors all initial dressing production runs by assisting R&D and processing

Assists in resolving non-conformance issues/quality problems at plant. Works with plant management team to develop corrective action plans and communicates plans to QA management

Perform Monthly GMP Audits of the plant Food Safety and Quality program. Communicates findings to plant management

Serves as a key technical resource in plant and as a liaison between corporate R&D, Tech Services and plant operations

Advises plant on quality and food safety implications of changes in product, processing, or facility design

Reviews/Submits monthly customer reports (i.e. YUM KPI’s, Boston Market)

Review/Evaluates production samples needing approval from a customer

Disposition product/ingredients that are on hold

Write weekly schedule for all employees on the shift (QA Manager has final approval of schedule)

Review all completed QA paperwork, and effectively communicate needed corrections to analyst

Assists in preparation and presenting information for all internal, 3 rd party, customer, and State/Federal audits of our facility

Required

BS or BA degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology or food science

Three plus years of experience in quality assurance in a food related industry

Must be able to lead projects/people, motivate associates and proactively anticipate and address issues
