Responsibilities

Organizing testing requests for three departments
Ensuring all testing requirements are met
Submitting approval requests for migrations to the production environment
Providing input to ensure testing processes are complete
Maintaining the integrity of the production environment
Ensuring accuracy of bi-weekly payroll for all State of Michigan employees
Providing solutions for payroll accounting and system-related issues
Ensuring accurate recording of payroll expenses and liabilities
Tax interpretation and payroll tax adjustments
Payroll accounting assistance and other related matters

Required

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount is required
Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience
Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
Departmental Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service
Experience is considered professional if the job required a bachelor's degree
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement
