Responsibilities
Assist Estimators and Project Managers with bidding multiple commercial refrigeration and supermarket projects
Support with print collection, takeoffs, and estimate preparation
Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Identify key cost variables including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and schedules
Conduct quantity takeoffs and assist with pricing development
Gather and analyze data related to labor costs, materials, production times, and project logistics
Obtain, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor quotes
Prepare and submit estimate reports and bid documentation
Assist with project handoff from estimating to operations
Provide support with planning, scheduling, manpower forecasting, and procurement
Assist with cost tracking, change orders, and job documentation
Participate in internal and external project meetings as needed
Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams
Qualification
Required
Prior experience in estimating or bidding commercial construction projects is required
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; strong overall computer skills required
Motivated team player with a professional appearance and demeanor
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred
Experience with large-scale commercial projects (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or similar trades preferred)
Rack refrigeration or supermarket refrigeration knowledge is a strong plus, but not required
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
