Responsibilities

Conduct legal research on various topics related to property and business law
Draft legal documents such as discovery requests/responses, pleadings, and motions
Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel/parties
Assist in representing clients in court proceedings
Collaborate with the Partners on complex cases
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting business and property law, as well as litigation procedures (e.g., Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code, etc.)
Manage case files and maintain accurate records
Bill at least 6hrs/day

Qualification

Juris Doctor (J.D.)Texas Bar admissionLegal researchLegal writingNegotiation skillsCommunication skills

Required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to the Texas Bar and currently in good standing (currently on probated suspension does not count as good standing) or awaiting Bar results
Excellent research and writing skills
Ability to negotiate effectively and communicate persuasively and clearly
