Responsibilities
Maintain QC oversight framework, including audits and verification activities
Ensure documentation integrity and readiness for FDA and third-party audits
Conduct gap assessments to align with SOPs and regulatory requirements
Supervise, coach, and develop the QC team to operate as proactive quality leaders
Provide regular training and development opportunities focused on auditing, root cause analysis, and quality risk management
Ensure team members are equipped with the tools and knowledge to perform oversight duties consistently and effectively
Act as a liaison between QC and Operations to ensure shared ownership of quality and smooth issue escalation
Participate in and lead routine quality review meetings to communicate trends, audit outcomes, and areas for improvement
Partner with Operations, QA, and other departments to investigate deviations and drive corrective actions
Analyze quality data (e.g., audit results, defect rates, process deviations) to identify patterns and initiate improvements
Lead or support root cause investigations and CAPA development for systemic quality issues
Regularly review and improve the QC oversight model to adapt to operational changes, new regulations, or audit feedback
Promote a strong quality culture by reinforcing accountability, transparency, and a preventive mindset across the organization
Recognize quality ownership behaviors within Operations and QC
Communicate quality wins, lessons learned, and improvement actions clearly and constructively
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
10+ years in quality within regulated food/dietary supplement manufacturing; 8+ years in leadership
FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 111/117), cGMP, quality systems
Internal auditing, root cause analysis, regulatory compliance, leadership, communication, data analysis, and attention to detail
