Responsibilities

Analyze Financial Data: Review financial statements, tax returns, and projections to assess borrower financial health

Evaluate Creditworthiness: Examine credit reports and documentation to measure repayment capacity and overall credit risk

Support Risk Assessment: Apply financial ratios and industry benchmarks to identify trends and make informed recommendations

Document Insights: Summarize findings and prepare credit memos or reports for internal use

Ensure Compliance: Verify that loan files follow internal lending policies and external regulations

Collaborate with Teams: Participate in internal training and contribute to credit discussions and project work

Assist as Needed: Support other tasks related to small business lending operations as assigned

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field

Familiarity with financial statements and basic accounting principles

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

Interest in credit analysis, commercial lending, or risk management

Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of an eight (8) hour workday

Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet)
