5+ years expTimmons Group is currently seeking a Systems Architect to join their GIS Services group to drive technical excellence to clients on the West Coast. The Systems Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of complex information systems and cloud-based solutions, collaborating closely with project managers, application developers, and clients.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient system architectures for client and internal projects
Design, implement, migrate, upgrade, troubleshoot, and integrate ArcGIS Enterprise deployments, while monitoring and optimizing performance
Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirement gathering, technical planning, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support
Collaborate with project managers and clients to define technical requirements, advise on scope of budget changes, and recommend optimal solutions
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the best solutions are implemented
Ensure system integration, data migration, and cloud infrastructure solutions are designed and implemented according to project needs
Participate in agile team activities, including scrums, planning, and review sessions, to maintain alignment and communication
Manage risk identification and mitigation strategies related to system architecture
Facilitate technical solution reviews, providing constructive feedback and leading efforts to resolve technical disputes and make necessary tradeoffs
Maintain thorough documentation of system architectures, standards, and operational procedures
Provide technical consulting and support to clients and internal teams, ensuring exceptional customer service
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of professional experience with GIS technology, specifically in ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, deployment, and administration
5+ years of experience in system, solution, or cloud architecture implementation
Familiarity with enterprise database management systems (SQL Server and PostgreSQL) and database replication strategies
Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex system integrations and data migrations
Strong understanding of server and desktop virtualization platforms (e.g., Citrix, VMware, Microsoft)
Fundamental knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools
Real-world experience supporting customer-facing systems with high uptime requirements
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to mentor peers, delegate tasks, and act as a technical leader within project teams
Ability to multi-task and efficiently prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
AWS or other relevant cloud certifications preferred
