Aircraft Maintenance Technician
ComAv, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) who is responsible for inspecting, repairing, overhauling, upgrading, and cleaning aircraft. The role involves providing general and routine maintenance in compliance with FAA regulations and maintaining detailed records of all work conducted.

Responsibilities
Make required work order entries for discrepancies and corrective actions
Parts identification, read and interpret Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)
Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures
Use technical specifications, sketches, manuals, drawings, engineering instructions and FAA forms and publications to accomplish work assignment
Maintains Company and FAA required records and inspection forms. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Plan and organize the sequence of your own work package in such a way as to promote safe, efficient operation and meet predetermined schedules in a timely manner
Operate all types of information systems required to perform assigned tasks. Including but not limited to Company WEB based systems and Microsoft Office products
Interpret and perform to the requirements of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters and other approved/accepted data
Apply applicable mathematical calculations to setup and use precision measuring tools, to measure gaps, heights, angles, hole diameters and depths
Prepares and maintains documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and Company policies
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Minimum of 5+ years experience
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required
Must successfully obtain a Driver badge through the Southern California Logistics Airport
Must be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals
Must be able to perform all line maintenance functions unsupervised at any time
Ability to read and interpret aircraft drawing and schematics
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Proficiency in the use of tools applicable to performing basic sheet metal repairs and alterations
Knowledge of basic aircraft maintenance and repairs
Excellent written and verbal communication (English)
Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to gain trust and respect – Aligns key work/processes against customer expectations
Self-Motivated - Must be self-motivated and can process complex systems and logically think through problems
Good Judgment - Must be able to exercise good judgement in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety
Detail oriented
Excellent problem-solving skills
Team Player - Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude and take on multiple tasks
Strong organizational skills
Must be able to climb and use a ladder, work stands, platforms and lift equipment
Must be able to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds or more on a regular basis
Must have normal or corrected hearing
Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected
Must be able to wear and breathe through a full-face respirator
Preferred
FAA Airframe or Powerplant Certificate a plus
Prior military experience a plus
Aerospace/Airline/Aviation/FAA Compliance experience a plus
Prior MRO experience a plus (C-Check, Avionics, Disassembly, Induct & React, Storage, Modifications)
Prior Fleet and or Airline Qualifications a plus
Fluency in a second language, particularly Spanish, is a plus
Corridor Go or other Maintenance or ERP systems experience a plus
