Production Specialist (Day Shift)
Microchip Technology Inc. is a global organization specializing in technology that powers the world. They are seeking full-time Production Specialists who will learn to operate machines that manufacture silicon wafers for computer chips, ensuring production goals are met through teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities
Learn the essential protocol for the cleanroom including the smock requirements
You will learn to operate the machines (or “tools”) that manufacture silicon wafers to make a large variety of different computer chips
You will learn to check and qualify tools and run engineering experiments to ensure that equipment and processes are running within specified limits
You will need to communicate with the appropriate people when equipment and processes do not meet specified limits or are not working properly
In time, you will learn multiple areas to diversify your skill set and to be able to help your team wherever the work is most needed
You will learn and perform all things needed to develop the knowledge and expertise to help your team meet production goals
After becoming proficient on a toolset, you will eventually share your knowledge, teach, and train others as needed so they can learn to successfully operate these toolsets as well
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Basic computer, math and reading comprehension skills
Proficiency in written and oral communication
The ability to follow detailed work specifications and instructions for each piece of equipment, while also meeting deadlines
Maintain and exhibit positive and productive attitudes and behavior with others
Willingness to participate in building a positive culture and contribute to a pleasant work environment
The ability to work on multiple different tasks throughout the day by focusing on one task at a time and paying careful attention to detail until completed, then quickly moving on to the next task
Working across designated areas of the cleanroom with the related machinery
Prior success working individually and in a team environment
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Availability to work a defined schedule assigned to you
Adaptability to change and a willingness to do whatever is needed for the team to be successful
Is a continuous learner and desires to enhance his/her skills and knowledge
Produces quality work, takes the job seriously, and displays good work habits
Takes the initiative to stay busy, work hard, and be productive
Perform work that can be repetitive in motion
Ability to wear and work in a cleanroom suit and PPE for the full shift
Preferred
Prior production experience in a cleanroom environment is not required but is desirable
