The role involves delivering exceptional care to Veterans and assisting residents in all activities of daily living, while also participating in admitting and discharging patients.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care as defined by the resident care plan for all residents at the Veteran's Community Living Center at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center

Assists residents in all activities of daily living

Participates in admitting and discharging patients

Documents care provided through established electronic health record

Encourages and assists residents to be as independent as possible

Qualification

CNA certificationNursing assistant trainingGeriatric care experienceElectronic health recordHigh school diploma

Required

High school diploma or GED (can be in progress)

Successful completion of nursing assistant training program

Current certification through a state regulatory agency

Preferred

Previous work experience in a geriatric work environment
