Responsibilities
Provide strategic technical guidance on AI/ML systems, autonomous robotics, and quality automation solutions
Define and communicate system integration and evaluation strategies for physical AI deployments across global fulfillment centers
Contribute to product roadmaps and drive cross-functional execution priorities
Identify and analyze tradeoffs between design alternatives, including impact on performance, schedule, cost, risk, complexity, and scalability
Design and develop test systems for validating AI-powered design tools, digital twin generation, and agentic workflow automation
Lead code reviews and maintain high standards for technical documentation
Partner with design engineers to ensure testability and quality throughout development
Design and execute test strategies for facility design, inspection, and qualification tools
Write status and build reports for cross-functional leadership review
Mentor engineers and share best practices across multi-disciplinary teams
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of infrastructure automation delivered through the software development lifecycle in an API-enabled environment, including agile development, software architecture/patterns, and modern cloud services
Knowledge of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Rust, Java, C/C++), and a solid understanding of the Linux operating system
Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
Experience in an engineering or delivery role for a large enterprise
10+ years of software development experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
5+ years of integration, testing and automation experience
Preferred
Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or PhD
Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittals
Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
Experience programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and diagnostic
