Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the financial aspects of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with grant regulations by meticulously tracking expenditures, preparing accurate financial reports, and collaborating with program managers to maintain budget adherence throughout the grant lifecycle, all while adhering to specific funding agency guidelines

Prepare monthly cash flow forecast

Responsible for completing month end closing tasks including review and preparation of financial statements

Lead the finance team in completing the annual NIH audit

Calculate and monitor indirect rate for NIH grants

Assist with grant applications including preparation of budgets

Support the CEO in long-term forecasting and finance strategy

Provide documentation for tax returns (prepared by outside accounting firm)

Prepare and file property tax

Manage department budgets and prepare monthly budget-to-actual reports

Track costs associated with the production process within the manufacturing department, including raw materials, labor, and overhead to calculate product costs

Work with the Director of Finance & Administration to develop and implement accounting procedures, including transition to implement manufacturing accounting

Reconcile prepaid and accrued expense accounts

General ledger reconciliations
