The role involves training and monitoring job performance of Shop Service Technicians, troubleshooting and repairing lift trucks, and maintaining good customer relations.

Responsibilities

Communicate daily with Manager or Supervisor to determine work schedule

Train, motivate, and monitor job performance of Shop Service Technicians. Inspect repairs and planned maintenance work. Ensure safety practices. Review paperwork and timecards

Confer with customers and communicate issues to branch management. Maintain good customer relations

Estimate or quote repair cost

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks

Perform operator training

Order parts and complete necessary paperwork

Required

Less than 2 years related experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks

Preferred

Prior company experience as a Shop or Field Service Technician

Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics

Good written/verbal communication, customer care, organizational, and motivational skills

Technical degree preferred
