Responsibilities

Ensure the continuous (24x7) operation of the ICS environment and the associated networks, data links, and telecommunications interface equipment
Administer, maintain, and document the ICS hardware, software, and systems, on a routine basis and troubleshoot the hardware and software in response to abnormal operating conditions
Configure, build, test, document, and maintain the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) application software, real-time and history databases, and human/machine interfaces
Build, test, document, and maintain new application programs that enhance the SCADA system operation and improve the productivity of the ICS environment users
Research, plan, and recommend the implementation of new technologies that sustain, enhance, and secure, the ICS environment
Function as an internal consultant and project manager for upgrades, modifications, and replacements of the ICS environment hardware and software
Participate and make recommendations for the annual ICS environment budget
Train and provide technical support to DEA engineers, power system operators, technician-electricians, and others who use and operate the functions within the ICS environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science is required
4 years of SCADA system administration experience with software development experience in a high-level programming language such as Java or C#.NET is required
Proficiency with Microsoft VBA is required
3 years of experience with network protocols and traffic analysis as well as expertise in configuring and maintaining firewalls are required

Preferred

Project management and electric utility experience are preferred
