Program Manager 1 - Office of First Year Programs
The University of Houston is seeking a Program Manager 1 for the Office of First Year Programs, responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the program. The role includes planning procedures, overseeing budgets, and supporting recruitment and retention initiatives for first-year students.

Responsibilities
Support the planning and execution of major OFYP initiatives, including outreach, social, mentorship, and academic support events
Engage in formal and informal outreach activities on behalf of the OFYP and/or NSM, including conducting presentations to students, families, and campus guests
Oversee the OFYP's social media accounts and digital presence, including managing content strategy and supervising student content creators
Occasionally provide support for evening and/or weekend programming as needed
Coordinate and oversee NSM Student Leadership Team (SLT) and related programming events (e.g., outreach, training, social, mentorship, and academic support). Represent NSM SLT and related programming on College/University committees
Establish and maintain relationships with faculty and staff across all colleges, acting as a programmatic liaison to develop and sustain programming initiatives. Work closely with departments, student organizations, and community partners to enhance college engagement and provide comprehensive support services
May serve as First-Year Seminar course facilitator
Qualification
Required
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline
Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed
