Keuka Studios Inc is seeking a Mid-Level CAD Designer/Engineer to lead custom railing and stair projects from concept to fabrication. The role involves collaborating with clients, managing designs, and finalizing production details in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

Review project details with sales, email customers for clarifications, and prepare designs for approval; manage multiple projecst independently
Process Laser scans (We can teach you this), model existing structures, and design new elements in SolidWorks
Specify materials/fastenings: Conduct basic FEA for stability; consult team on details (e.g., flooring) and present rendering options
Support complex elements: Collaborate on stairs with external PEs for calculations; deliver preliminary drawings/renderings
Finalize production: Create detailed part drawings and BOMs; release to shop and resolve fabrication issues
Provide customer support: Guide installs via Zoom and assist with on-site discussions (travel up to 30%)

Qualification

Required

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent (3-5 years of experience in CAD/design)
Advanced SolidWorks skills

Proven ability to iterate designs and collaborate with architects/builders
Comfort with travel and client-facing communication
Familiarity with metal fabrication processes

Preferred

Experience with laser scanning, FEA (e.g., Simulation), and rendering, a plus but not required
