Construction
Responsibilities
Perform quality assurance and quality control inspections for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work
Verify construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and MasTec Power Delivery QA/QC requirements
Conduct inspections for materials, workmanship, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
Review and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation
Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and verify corrective and preventive actions
Maintain detailed inspection reports, daily logs, and quality records
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and site supervisors to resolve quality issues
Witness and document testing activities (e.g., concrete testing, weld inspections, electrical/mechanical testing)
Ensure proper material handling, storage, and traceability
Support audits, punch lists, and final inspections prior to project handover
Promote adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Minimum 3–7 years of QA/QC inspection experience in power generation and/or commercial building construction
Strong knowledge of construction practices, drawings, specifications, and industry standards
Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, AWS, NEC, ASME, ISO)
Experience reviewing technical documentation, submittals, and inspection records
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
NACE / AMPP Coating Inspector
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician
ISO 9001 QA/QC training
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Effective communication and coordination skills
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
Proficient with MS Office and digital inspection/reporting tools
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Preferred
associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
