Interventional Radiology Technologist Intern- Interventional Radiology

The Interventional Radiology Technologist Intern is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to support patient care, utilizing advanced imaging technologies and performing minimally invasive procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities

Performing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to support patient care, clinical research, and medical education
Utilize advanced imaging technologies—such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology—to produce high-quality images that aid in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of medical conditions
Perform minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
Use imaging technologies, such as X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasound, to guide instruments through the body for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
Combine aspects of diagnostic imaging with procedural interventions to manage and treat complex medical issues
Work under moderate supervision
Communicate information that requires some explanation or interpretation

Qualification

RadiographyInterventional RadiologyARRT CertificationBLS CertificationAttention to DetailCommunication Skills

Required

Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography required
Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required
ARRT (VI) certification required within one year of hire
American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required
Basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience
Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly
Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs

Preferred

Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred
