As a Materials & Process Engineer, you will research materials and develop processes for high-rate production of aircraft structures, working closely with the structures design team to optimize designs for mass production.

Responsibilities

Research, test, and select appropriate material systems and processes for volume production of a large UAS
Validate material properties through simulation and testing
Design processes for structural component build and full-scale assembly
Validate production processes through simulation and test
Support the structures design team in design for manufacturability

Qualification

Materials ScienceProduction Environment ExperienceComposite SystemsAluminum StructuresHigh-Volume ProductionStartup Environment Experience

Required

Graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or gained equivalent experience
Spent 7+ years working in a production environment building structures
Generated materials properties data for composite systems
Gained hands-on experience working with both composite and aluminum structures

Preferred

10+ years in a production environment building aero structures
Experience in creating or managing high-volume production build environments
Experience working in a startup environment
