Responsibilities

Provide support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), specifically the Systems Security Engineering Branch of the Naval Computing & Cyber Engineering Systems Division of the Strategic & Computing Systems Department

Author technical documentation in support of a new program of record for the US Navy

Interface with Technical Project Leads (TPLs) and software engineers

Create technical documentation for new computing systems, including requirements documents, design documents, user manuals, maintenance manuals, and other relevant technical documentation

Author and/or contribute to the development of programmatic documentation and presentation materials

Required

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in English or four (4) years of related experience performing technical writing

Alternately, a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar STEM discipline coupled with technical writing experience

5+ years of related work experience

Strong writing, researching, and content creating skills

Ability to understand and explain complex technical information

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe FrameMaker, etc.)

Familiarity with markup languages (e.g., HTML, XML)

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Need to have the ability to obtain and maintain, at minimum, a Secret Level Security Clearance. Active Secret Security Clearance is a plus

Must be a U.S. citizen. (US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance from the DoD)
