Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and continuously refine statistical demand forecast models using historical sales data, market trends, promotions, seasonal patterns, and external factors specific to manufacturing/industrial markets
Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, finance, operations, and production teams to incorporate business intelligence, adjust forecasts, and support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
Analyze forecast variances (e.g., MAPE/WAPE, bias), identify root causes, and implement improvements to boost forecast accuracy and reliability
Generate short-term (weekly/monthly) and long-term (quarterly/annual) demand plans to guide inventory levels, procurement, production scheduling, and MRP runs
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, stockouts, and excess inventory
Create, update, and govern item master records in Infor Syteline ERP, ensuring accuracy for product attributes, engineering bills of materials (BOMs), routings, descriptions, classifications, standard costs, supplier details, and packaging information
Process new item setups, change requests, and mass updates to support product launches, engineering change notices (ECNs), and process improvements while maintaining data integrity and compliance
Perform regular data cleansing, validation, auditing, and discrepancy resolution to uphold high-quality master data standards across systems
Collaborate on new product introductions (NPI) by establishing accurate item masters and BOMs for seamless integration into production and supply chain
Generate insightful reports, dashboards (using Power BI or similar), and trend analysis for management review to inform strategic decisions
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of hands-on experience in demand forecasting, sales forecasting, or demand planning within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Proven proficiency in ERP systems, with direct experience managing item master data, BOMs, and related modules in Infor Syteline (or similar systems like SAP or Oracle)
Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical forecasting methods, advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VBA), and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a track record of improving forecast accuracy and data quality
Preferred
Knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning for forecasting, or master data management (MDM) tools
Familiarity with manufacturing concepts such as MRP, capacity planning, lean principles, or S&OP processes
Experience in high-volume, discrete manufacturing settings with fast-paced data transactions
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
