Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud infrastructure for database products using AWS services (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Control Tower) and Azure equivalents
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK (TypeScript), CloudFormation, and Terraform; scripting in Python is essential
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines leveraging Jenkins, GitHub/Bitbucket, Artifactory, and SonarQube
Ensure platform reliability and scalability through automation, observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace), and proactive incident management
Collaborate with database engineers and architects to integrate cloud-native solutions and troubleshoot deployment issues
Contribute to cloud governance, security best practices, and compliance (PCI, CIS benchmarks)
Mentor team members, lead architecture reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Establish robust monitoring, alerting, and operational support frameworks for cloud database platforms
Influence architectural decisions and contribute to cloud strategy for database platforms

Required

7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps, with strong AWS expertise; Azure experience is a plus
Experience in designing and deploying custom database solutions and managing cloud-native database services
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with major SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, DocumentDB, ElastiCache)
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and automation frameworks
Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in distributed systems

Preferred

AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps, Database Specialty)
Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and multi-account AWS setups
Experience with cost optimization and performance tuning in cloud environments
