Binding Minds, LLP is seeking a Senior Desktop Systems Engineer who will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise desktop systems. Responsibilities

Analyze, design, implement, and maintain operating system deployment, updates, security controls, and Group Policy enforcement

Administer and support Azure, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), OS Deployment (OSD), BitLocker, BIOS, and operating system security policies

Engineer and maintain operating system deployment, software distribution, and patch management solutions using technologies such as RIS/WDS, WPE, MECM/SCCM/OSD, Intune, and WSUS

Ensure all operating systems are up to date with the latest security patches, service packs, and device drivers

Create, deploy, and maintain automated installations and repetitive administrative tasks using PowerShell and Windows Host Script

Lead application packaging and deployment using task sequencing, PowerShell, and Windows MSI

Resolve vulnerabilities and complex technical issues through scripting and automation

Evaluate and recommend workstation hardware, including desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, and accessories

Provide advanced technical support and guidance to other IT analysts related to operating system deployment, cloud services, and application installations

Manage and resolve Level 3 support tickets, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) and operational-level agreements (OLAs) are met

Document technical incidents, resolutions, and procedures clearly within the ticketing system

Participate in problem management, knowledge initiatives, and continuous process improvement efforts

Prepare and maintain technical documentation and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Remain available outside standard working hours as required to support business needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

10+ years of experience administering and managing Microsoft Azure, Intune, and related Microsoft cloud technologies

Minimum of 5 years of experience creating and supporting operating system images for workstation and server hardware and virtual machines in an enterprise environment

Experience supporting workstation and server imaging, software distribution, and patch management technologies such as RIS/WDS, WPE, MECM/OSD, and WSUS

Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation of repetitive administrative tasks; Windows Host Script experience is a plus

Strong experience with application installation package creation using task sequencing, PowerShell, and/or Windows MSI

Ability to perform quality assurance and testing for client/server and web-based applications

Solid understanding of the application lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, quality assurance, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control, and deployment

Proven ability to collaborate with software development teams, integration specialists, and business process owners
