Administrator Payroll

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for preparing and processing weekly payroll, managing employee records, and ensuring compliance with union rules and labor laws. This role also involves assisting the Payroll Manager in maintaining payroll policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Process weekly payroll for 1200+ salaried and hourly union and non-union employees (11 payrolls-3 union, 8 non-union)
Review employees’ time input for accuracy and compliance with union rules and labor laws by using ADP
Audit payroll entries for discrepancies before submitted payroll
Provide union monthly reporting to union contacts
Maintain all payroll records in accordance with State and Federal requirements
Ability to respond to employee inquires and complex issues
Receive, respond, and process wage assignments, court ordered garnishments, tax levies, bankruptcies, employment verifications, and unemployment claims
Manage all employment verifications
Assist with payroll related projects as required

Required

Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing using a major payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, Paycom, Paycor, Workday, Gusto, Paychex, OnPay, SurePayroll, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Vlookup & pivot tables)
Detailed oriented with ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy
Quickly and easily adapt to change and shifting priorities with enthusiasm
Strong problem solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven and fast paced environment
High level of integrity with the ability to maintain complete confidentiality

Preferred

A degree from an accredited college/university is preferred or 2+ years of payroll processing experience in lieu of a degree
ADP Time & Attendance experience is preferred
