Responsibilities

Focus on providing technical support to existing customers
Developing new product solutions for industrial market applications
Collaborate with various internal resources to design experiments
Create technical data
Develop value added solutions that highlight our industrial innovation product portfolio and align with consumer trends

Required

Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Paper Science or Engineering or a related field
Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term
Demonstrated experience with wet chemistry laboratory
Knowledge of common paper and packaging manufacturing processes, process chemicals and development, polymer chemistry preferred
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills (technical reports for distribution, presentations, data analysis etc.)
Proven proficiency using MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ect.)
Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day
Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT
Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior

Preferred

Knowledge of common paper and packaging manufacturing processes, process chemicals and development, polymer chemistry preferred
