This role will lead on-site safety efforts, support multiple contractors, and help drive a proactive, compliance-focused safety culture across the project.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage all on-site safety operations for an active new construction project
Develop, implement, and enforce the site-specific safety plan
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client safety standards, and company policies
Conduct daily site walks, formal safety inspections, and compliance audits
Identify high-risk activities and implement corrective and preventative controls
Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and Method Statements
Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety observations; lead root cause analyses and corrective actions
Deliver new hire orientations, site-specific training, and routine toolbox talks
Monitor subcontractor safety performance and enforce safety accountability
Participate in project planning meetings to provide safety input on upcoming work
Track, analyze, and report safety metrics, trends, and leading/lagging indicators
Maintain accurate safety documentation, permits, and inspection records
Coordinate with project leadership, general contractors, and subcontractors to resolve safety concerns
Serve as the primary on-site safety point of contact for inspections and audits
Support emergency response planning and drills
Promote a visible, positive safety culture across the jobsite
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in construction safety management
BCSP Certificate Required
Experience supporting ground-up new construction projects
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
Proven ability to manage safety across multiple trades and subcontractors
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment
