Responsibilities

Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance for all facility systems, ensuring continuous operation and compliance with JLL standards
Adjust and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning, boilers, ventilators, hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical/electrical equipment
Conduct regular rounds, record readings, and make adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation; analyze system performance and resolve any malfunctions or problems
Install and repair plumbing, piping, and tubing; wire single and three-phase motors, run conduit, pull wiring, and rebuild/install pumps, air compressors, heat exchangers, bearings, seals, filters, and controls
Repair, maintain, and operate critical equipment including UPS systems, generators, chillers, and critical air conditioning units
Comply with departmental policies regarding safe use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe work environment
Oversee activities of contractors within the building, ensuring compliance with facility protocols and standards
Maintain records of building rounds, readings, engineering logs, and data sheets
Complete Critical Environment Operations & HSSE training, and ensure all contractors are informed about critical building functions and emergency contacts
Understand and comply with emergency escalation procedures
Ensure strict adherence to Critical Facility Work Authorization (CWA), MOP/SOP/EOP protocols, Critical Awareness Process, Technical Bulletins, and established engineering procedures
Perform additional duties as requested

Required

Hands-on experience in a data center or critical facility environment, including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgear equipment
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent
Universal Technician certification for CFC's
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and CMMS platforms
Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical abilities
Ability to interpret technical documents and solve complex problems independently
Demonstrated record of delivering high-quality internal and external customer service

Preferred

Additional technical certifications or licenses relating to critical facility operations
Experience facilitating or training in critical environment protocols
