Responsibilities
Works as a part of a treatment team to provide quality care and reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health (mental health or substance use) treatment
Directs, plans, and implements the programs serving the outpatient needs of the region's consumers including outpatient treatment services, community support programs, interaction with courts, quality control programs, and consultation and education
Administers clinic programs and identifies staff developmental needs. Also, conducts supervisory and general staff meetings to discuss operational factors, billing, personnel matters, and technical problems regarding the clinic
Interprets, implements, and monitors agency policy and provides consultation to clinical staff regarding complex cases and serves as the compliant officer to intervene regarding management of care
Represents NEDHSA in the community at large and participates and organizes committees that plan, develop, and/or monitor regional behavioral health operations. Also, oversees the effective working operation and accessibility of MBHC
Qualification
Required
A master's degree in a social science, health or human services, or health administration field plus four years of experience in health services, social services, nursing, or counseling
A doctorate in a social science, health or human services, or health administration field, or a medical degree plus three years of experience in health services, social services, nursing, or counseling
Applicants with licensure as either a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker are encouraged to apply
