Responsibilities
Partnering across Agile teams to architect, build, test, deploy, and support scalable, end-to-end technical solutions
Leading and mentoring a team of engineers with expertise in machine learning, microservices, and full-stack development
Collaborating closely with digital product leaders to deliver reliable, cloud-based platforms that enable impactful user experiences
Driving engineering excellence by promoting clean design, high-quality code, performance optimization, and thorough testing practices
Staying current with emerging technologies, encouraging experimentation, and contributing to internal and external engineering communities
Supporting team growth through coaching, mentorship, and a strong culture of innovation and accountability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
6+ years of professional application development experience (excluding internships)
2+ years working with big data or large-scale data processing technologies
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
4+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams
Preferred
Master's degree in a technical field
9+ years of application development experience using technologies such as Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
4+ years of experience designing and delivering solutions on public cloud platforms
Strong background with distributed computing and data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, EMR, MapReduce, or similar)
Experience building real-time and streaming data applications
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
Extensive experience with cloud data warehousing solutions like Redshift or Snowflake
Proficiency with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting
Experience working in Agile engineering environments
6+ years of people management experience
