Summer Internship - Social Media - Content Creator

Chartway Credit Union is inviting candidates to join their Summer Internship Program, offering a chance to gain real-world experience and professional growth. As a Social Media - Content Creator Intern, you will collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content, track performance, and lead a capstone project focused on financial topics for young adults.

Responsibilities

Plan, build, and manage a social media content calendar, create short-form content (video, photo, and copy) for channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X Participate in content ideation, graphic creation, filming, editing, and post scheduling
Support analytics tracking and social performance reporting
Assist with content development for key events, campaigns, and community initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with Chartway's tone, values, and brand guidelines
Conceptualize, develop, and launch a podcast designed to engage college students and young adults in financial topics that matter to them. Lead the creative direction — name, theme, tone, and visuals as well as record and produce episodes (audio and/or video) using accessible tools and free platforms (e.g., YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts)
Promote podcast snippets across Chartway's social media channels throughout the internship

Required

A creative thinker who loves bringing ideas to life and trying new things
Strong understanding of social media trends, platforms, and storytelling formats
Basic experience with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar software)
Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
