The intern will gain exposure to major projects while honing technical and managerial skills through training and mentorship.

Responsibilities
Completing a variety of assignments such as field installation observations, engineering, tracking contractor submittals, quality assurance, and certifying work completed
Reviewing small and portions of larger contractor drawing submittals and assisting in performing technical bid analyses
Review specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents and ensure contractor is building in accordance with those referenced
Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures
Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. Becomes familiar with various standards and codes relevant to project work
Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
Literate in PC software, a working knowledge of CAD, and other computer software used to complete design assignments
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Working knowledge of engineering and construction
Ability to work on-site at the airport
