Responsibilities
System Administrator will install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and system software (Windows/Linux)
Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across local and cloud environments
Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
Apply system patches, updates, and security configurations to maintain a secure environment
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and user account provisioning
Assist in maintaining virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
As a System Administrator, you will maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
Collaborate with IT team members to plan and implement system upgrades and migrations
Provide technical support and training to internal teams and end-users as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
Hands-on experience with virtualization, backup solutions, and system monitoring tools
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and routing
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCSA, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus
Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation tools
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Understanding of ITIL practices and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
