Responsibilities
Monitor network health and performance across various operational sites to ensure optimal uptime and quickly respond to any connectivity or performance issues
Implement and maintain network configurations and compliance, utilizing standard templates aligned with network design principles and corporate standards
Participate in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of network equipment at new and existing facilities, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption
Conduct thorough log reviews and network audits to identify and rectify recurring issues or potential vulnerabilities, improving overall network reliability
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, IP address schemes, and configuration records to support network operations and troubleshooting
Leverage automation tools to streamline network configuration and deployment processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual errors
Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other engineering and operations teams to support network expansions, upgrades, and other project-related activities
Provide technical support and guidance during pilot testing of new network solutions in lab environments to ensure compatibility and performance standards are met before full-scale deployment
Qualification
Required
Proven experience with industrial or operational networks, particularly within the energy, utilities, manufacturing, or transportation sectors
Strong foundation in network technologies including routers, switches, and firewalls
Proficient in using configuration management and automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Nornir, or similar
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and configuration management
Experience in network security practices, including audits, patching, and compliance checks
Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in an understandable manner
Availability to participate in periodic on-call rotations to support critical network operations outside of standard business hours
Legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
