MGM Resorts International is seeking a Club Host at Commonwealth Bar to enhance guest experiences through exceptional service. The role involves networking, relationship building, and ensuring smooth operations at the nightclub.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests, check identification, and assist with the smooth and efficient operation of the front door
Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner, and exemplify MGM SHOW standards
Actively market venue, which includes participating in marketing requirements and outings, including but not limited to:
Assist in developing restaurant database through networking and completing data cards
Build and establish a personal clientele list
Weekly table reservations
(3) to (4) organic posts to one of the following social platforms with information provided by the marketing team: Facebook, Instagram, and Instagram Stories
Sharing of venue's Facebook posts onto their channels for branding and awareness
Posting and engaging (liking and commenting) with the venue’s social media posts, as well as engaging with review sites such as Yelp
Control the flow of guests coming into the restaurant, bar, and lounge
Answer telephone and direct calls where necessary
Enforce minimum age requirements and standards of fashionable and acceptable appearance of the guests entering the lounge
Responsible for identifying and directing VIP guests as indicated by management and VIP representatives
Maintain constant awareness of safety and accident prevention and immediately notify the supervisor if an accident occurs. Inform Supervisors of any irregularities existing, guest complaints or other disputes which cannot be readily resolved
Set stanchions appropriately nightly and for special events held within the Lounge
Perform all opening and closing duties, based on shift assignment
Communicate with management and service team to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests or other employees
Assist food servers, bartenders, cocktails, bussers, and food runners as it relates to guest contact and table information

Required

Has high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Has 1+ years of prior relevant experience minimum in similar, high-volume bar, nightclub, or fine dining establishment
Must be 18 years of age
