The internship will provide the student with on-the-job training in Construction Drafting, focusing on AutoCAD detailing and collaboration with other departments.

Responsibilities

Learn the basic Morton Buildings post frame building structure via AutoCAD detailing

Audit AutoCAD files to ensure all revisions are completed

Utilize the drawing generator program to create the initial AutoCAD file for each project

Interact with Sales Consultants to acquire answers needed to complete building plans

Assist with completing revisions to plans

Assist with process improvement initiatives

Participate in weekly team meetings

Other tasks as identified

Required

Targeted graduation date during the 2026/2027 school year or students completing schooling at the end of 2025 but still needing to satisfy an internship requirement

Pursuing a degree or certificate in computer aided drafting

Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment

A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality

Must be highly motivated with the ability to meet daily deadlines

Self-starter with a positive, willing to learn attitude

Able to work independently, as well as able to work well in a team setting

Service minded with excellent communication and solid documentation skills
