Wisconsin Shares Senior Auditor

The State of Wisconsin is seeking a Wisconsin Shares Senior Auditor for the Department of Children and Families. This role is responsible for conducting audits and providing training related to child care subsidy programs.

Responsibilities

Conducting audits, reviews, investigations, and quality assurance activities related to the implementation, monitoring, and oversight of program integrity activities related to the Wisconsin Shares Child Care Subsidy and YoungStar programs
Providing training and technical assistance to counties, Tribes, and other entities responsible for overpayment and fraud prevention programs

Required

Experience conducting audits and/or investigations in a professional setting (reviewing records, interviewing subjects, documenting findings, entering data etc.)
Experience applying, interpreting, and/or enforcing laws, rules, regulations, or policies
Experience providing technical assistance, troubleshooting system issues, and/or providing training to internal and/or external stakeholders
Experience preparing and presenting oral and written audit and/or investigatory reports in a business setting
The selected candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment and meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy
The candidate must be at least 18 years of age with 2 years driving experience
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DCF sponsorship.)

Preferred

Experience conducting on-site monitoring of childcare facilities for compliance with state statutes, rules, codes, or policies
Experience analyzing policies, administrative rules, and/or statutes and recommending areas of concern or inconsistency
Experience coordinating projects within a team (delegating tasks, working with vendor staff, ensuring timelines are met)
