Landscape Business Development Representative
Wide Effect Talent Solutions is seeking a Landscape Business Development Representative to serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the company. The role involves building client relationships, generating new business, and collaborating with sales management while participating in industry events and supporting marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the company, ensuring exceptional communication and service delivery
Build and maintain strong client relationships by proactively addressing concerns, anticipating needs, and ensuring satisfaction
Generate new business through referrals, cold calls, and targeted outreach within existing property routes (maintenance, construction, and snow services)
Actively participate in trade organizations, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand market presence
Track and manage leads, client interactions, and prospect activity using the CRM system
Conduct property inspections and provide advisement, coordinating between clients and internal maintenance, enhancement, and snow crews
Collaborate with the sales manager on training initiatives, participating in daily development activities and mentoring fellow Account Managers as needed
Support public relations and marketing efforts, including trade shows, promotional materials, web content, award submissions, and media activities
Participate in snow operations, including new snow sales as outlined in the snow sales plan
Follow approved policies and procedures for bidding, client contact, follow-up, and feedback to ensure consistency and quality
Assist colleagues with customer needs outside of your assigned portfolio when required
Contribute to all scheduled sales meetings, events, and company initiatives
Work 40–65 hours per week, with scheduling coordinated by the VP, depending on seasonal demands
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of professional sales experience
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in landscape maintenance procedures or equivalent
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in construction field procedures or equivalent
Degree in Horticulture or a related field, or equivalent extensive horticulture training
