Responsibilities
Planning switch configurations in Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) to ensure uptime and reliability for client's campus network
Helping colleagues troubleshoot Active Directory group policies
Mentoring junior technicians on managing permissions responsibly
Managing virtual server infrastructure (currently VMware) and supporting high-availability environments for clients
Documenting, planning, and overseeing network operations to ensure team alignment and seamless client experiences

High aptitude and demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot: Cisco switching infrastructure (with tools like Cisco DNA/Catalyst Center)
High aptitude and demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot: Windows Active Directory tasks such as Group Policy and permissions
High aptitude and demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot: Virtual server environments (VMs, not limited to a specific vendor)
Preferred
Resolution mindset focused on practical solutions and implementations to serve, vs. elitist attitude
Experience mentoring or planning work for less experienced technicians
Knowledge of network best practices and security considerations
Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring tools
Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are a plus but not required
3+ years of Information Technology experience with Windows Server
Knowledge and experience with cybersecurity best practices
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure Cloud Services
Experience maintaining Backups and Disaster Recovery solutions
Proficiency with remote monitoring tools and work order systems
Scripting / Programming experience, especially PowerShell
