Responsibilities

Assist RN's, LPN's, PCT's and Physicians in the patient care process
Assist the nursing staff in monitoring the heart rhythms of patients on telemetry
Interpret dysrhythmias and respond quickly and appropriately in the notification of nursing staff
Some record keeping and posting of rhythm strips may be required

Qualification

Rhythm interpretationMedical terminologyClerical experienceCustomer serviceCommunication skills

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required
Completion of EKG rhythm education course required
Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and respond quickly and appropriately in the notification of nursing staff is essential

Preferred

Prior training in EKG rhythm strip interpretation preferred
One year of clerical experience preferred
Previous Hospital experience preferred
Medical terminology training preferred
